Tylar, Mia and I spent a second day working on a bathroom for a young family that has had much more than its share of misfortune - I don't know if I'll be able to share their story, but it is heartbreaking.

They have two beagles, and they spent all 8 hours we were at the house Monday barking at us. Mia and Tylar took it upon themselves to try to win over the dogs, who were having none of it. Even filling their water bowl didn't do anything to lessen the hostility.

But gradually over the course of the breaks on Tuesday, they were able to convince the beagles that they weren't a threat. Tylar was even able to remove a tick from one of the dogs' ears.

The beagles never stopped barking at me.

Double eeeh...great point, Shari! Please have the beagle tamers checked! (Come to think of it...tick checks would be good for everyone!)

Dave keep up the great blogs. Its great to be getting a sense of your days.
And many thanks for setting up this site for all of us. I was at church today working on vbs and the senior luncheon was thrilled with what we could share from the stories you have all shared.
p.s. did anyone check the beagle tamers for ticks after they visited with the dogs? eeh
